Meet my animalitos. ⁣

How many fur babies do you have in your life?⁣

I have five.⁣
⁣
I have four cats - Marley, D.C., Benji, and my golden boy, Franklin - and a puppy - Penny. ⁣
⁣
Franklin was a neighborhood stray who stole my heart as he played around my freshly planted garden.⁣
⁣
Marley was his BFF. ⁣
⁣
She showed up every time he visited. ⁣
⁣
It was adorable.⁣
⁣
She belonged to a neighbor who didn't mind her hanging out with my boy. ⁣
⁣
Their family grew, so they moved. ⁣
⁣
Almost instantly, Franklin changed as he mourned the loss of his girl. ⁣
⁣
It broke my heart. ⁣
⁣
A month later, we started looking for another companion via local rescue organizations and instead found 2 companions. ⁣
⁣
D.C. and Benji.⁣
⁣
They're brothers and were bonded, hence we couldn't take one without the other. ⁣
⁣
While it helped Franklin's spirit to mingle with the little ones, they couldn't replace Marley. ⁣
⁣
Meanwhile, Marley wasn't doing well. ⁣
⁣
Her owners were really concerned about her well-being. ⁣
⁣
And so with a heavy heart, they asked if we'd be interested in adopting her.⁣
⁣
And that's how we became a family of four cats. ⁣
⁣
As a dog person turned cat & dog person, I never imagined that I'd be so attached to them.⁣
⁣
Yes, cats are more independent than dogs but they are fun and affectionate in ways puppies aren't, and it's lovely. ⁣
⁣
With that said, of all my little ones I'm closest to my puppy. ⁣
⁣
She's my first. ⁣

We connected upon first meeting at #TheAnimalFoundation.
⁣
We understand each other best. ⁣
⁣
My husband is the kitties favorite. ⁣
⁣
He's much cooler than me. ⁣
