Kaleidoscopes & Polka Dots handcrafts all products. Most are ready to ship, some, i.e. custom orders, are ready within two weeks after all decisions are final. Oftentimes, orders process faster than that but I can’t guarantee a faster processing time.
Made To Order VS Pre-Made
Check a listing carefully to understand if a product is pre-made and ready to ship or if the product is ordered before it is handmade.
Please note that both options are handmade but the pre-made is shipment ready while made-to-order products take about two weeks to be created for you.
Look for the following image if a product is ready for shipment immediately:
The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being 100% handmade to order.
Care for your new product(s) by:
- treating them delicately, as if they were family heirlooms
- taking them off before any strenuous activity where they may be tugged, soaked with water, overheated, etc.
- storing them in a dry airtight location to prevent rusting
Your product(s) can be damaged if:
- they are left out in the sun
- too much pressure is applied to a piece
- it is washed
- it is exposed for too long in the open air
- it is worn during exercise or strenuous activity

Kaleidoscopes & Polka Dots ships through the United States Postal Service (USPS).
As of May 2019, Kaleidoscopes & Polka Dots is only shipping to Canada and to the United States.

I do my best to apply fair shipping costs to each order.
Shipping costs are calculated automatically during checkout.
Production & Shipping Timeline
Selecting expedited shipping during checkout does not ensure faster processing time.
If you’ve made a custom order, your product may still take two weeks to be handmade.
Unless otherwise noted, most pieces are ready to ship.
My policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, I can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Additional non-returnable items:

- Personalized and/or customized goods are exempt from being returned unless the product arrives defective.
To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
Any item not in its original condition is damaged or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
It is my mission to ensure that all customers are fully satisfied with their order. If anyone is not fully satisfied with their order, I will certainly provide them with a full or partial refund. Conditions are as follows:
If the item is defective and the customer would like a 100% refund, it will be provided to them if they contact me within 30 days of receipt of their item. In this case, the item must be returned to me in its original condition and packaging. The cost of postage to return an item will not be reimbursed. The refund will be issued upon receipt of the product. Because I understand that it is an inconvenience to return an item, a $10 coupon will also be sent to the customer upon receipt of the item.
Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
If a customer receives a defective product, I can provide them with a brand new product in exchange for the defective product, and a $30.00 shop coupon. The cost of postage to return an item will not be reimbursed.
If a customer chooses to keep a damaged product, they will be provided with a discounted rate after proof of damage is provided is received and approved. Additionally, they will also receive a $30.00 shop coupon.
Late or Missing Products & Delayed Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund after 3 to 5 business days of our correspondence, please check in with your bank. They should be able to see more on their end relating to the delay.

Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. I don’t guarantee that I will receive your returned item.
