Marie Prevot - The inspiration behind these beaded beauties

These classic blue long-drop earrings are named after Marie Prevost for their consistent grace and beauty.

Marie Prevost (Marie Bickford Dunn), born in 1896, worked as a secretary in 1915 for a law firm that represented Keystone Film.  

It was working at the law firm that she happened upon her first role.

While running an errand for the firm, she caught the attention of an executive and was asked to make an appearance in the film His Father's Footsteps. She went on to sign a contract with the studio for $15 per week.

Overall, Marie Prevost would be cast in 121 films, both silent films and talkies.

Her last starring role was in Howard Hughes, The Racket (1928), and her last on-screen appearance was in the film Ten Laps To Go (1936), where she played the role of a waitress.

She passed away in 1937 from acute alcoholism.

Though Marie didn't have a happily ever after, in real life, she made a lasting impression on Hollywood History.
